This poem is written as a duet by me and the ever inspiring, beautiful Hastywords. Once again, thank you for your words Hasty. They’re precious to me.
While Gaza Weeps
The midnight calls
Tempermental notes
Sighing, resigning
As the spectators watch
Raindrops weeping
Raw acid falling
Erasing lives, eroding holes
As the two worlds collide
Night grasps at daylight
Greedily eats at time
Layers upon layers collapse
Spanning the spectrums we hide
This crumbling shadow play
Sweeps over the castles we build
From the ashes of our history
Sends the petals of dead spinning
Lured from their graves
From their departed sorrows
Children giggle, peeking
As ancestors parade on by
Their laugh resonates through the bones
It waters the bomb-sites and
Out of them grow
Shining Snowdrops of tomorrow

May the people in this world, the people who have known war and suffering, find happiness and peace. I hope that once this world will be a more loving place, and today I want to give you all the love and strenght my little heart can carry.
Because to change this world for better, your heart does not need to be big or old, it does not need to carry the wisdom of the ancient trees. All your heart needs to know is love and how to share that love.
Take care, of yourself and of others in need. Peace!
Reblogged this on A Collective Consciousness and TJP Production.
Thank you for such a moving poem and your heart, A beautiful collaboration out of love and for peace… My heart and prayers for the people on both sides especially the children. It is unfortunate that the evil of violence affects so many, thank you for being a beautiful human being and expressing yourself in such a positive way!
Thank you for reading and praying, your love is helping to heal this world.
Awesome! Love it.
Kudos to both of You.

Such a sad theme but covered in a very sensitive way. I was struck by the line in the middle (This crumbling shadow play/Sweeps over the castles we build), I felt it rock my own foundations but the final stanza really hit home. Haunting but superbly done, encapsulates the mood and perhaps may educate those further who are unaware of the plight of war and Gaza’s children that are caught in the firing line.
hastywords says:- That was Miss DayDreamDaisies. She is marvelous!
TooFullToWrite says:- Thank you for replying to me. I follow her blog too! Should I post my comment there as well?

Thank you so much, your words truly are a gift! It means a lot to me that my words could so move someone. But I must say, this poem would have not been born without Hasty. She’s such a brilliant duet partner and this piece really took us to places we couldn’t even imagine when setting out to write another piece togehter, and we might have not ventured there otherwise. But I’m glad we did because I really felt something speaking through me in this piece. Thank you, I’m happy you felt it too.
You’re very welcome, you are both very talented. Each day, I am grateful for knowing your blogs to allow me to experience the splendour and grace of your words and appreciate the extent of your artistry. Long may it continue! 🙂
